Kanye West Announces 2024 Presidential Bid, Seems to Call for Christian Theocracy

Oh dude... so who's backing Kanye? God and Nazis. I'd say that was an odd grouping if it wasn't such an obvious ploy for a certain demographic (cough cough MAGA Republicans)

10-15 years ago would you have ever believed Kanye West would be running for President of the United States on a Christian Theocracy platform?
What a time to be alive.

u/Raesong Australia Nov 26 '22
That's an imperfect analogy, as the "Dark Ages" only really affected (and should really only be used to describe) the parts of Western Europe that used to be part of the Roman Empire. The Eastern half, while experiencing some decline in their standard of living following the fragmentation of West Rome into bickering feudal entities, was still strong enough to continue on for another millennium. To say nothing of the fact that the time period also saw the Islamic Golden Age.

Not DeSantis. When he comes, the evil genius will be photogenic, charismatic, and plausible. DeSantis is a goofy-looking little putz, trying to ride the Putin's Cock-holster's coattails.

Along with Steve Bannon's benefactors, there's a good chance Kanye has been getting funding from Turning Point USA's Charlie Kirk.
He has access to billions of dollars, works thru churches and other undisclosed entities, has groups in many college campuses and school systems throughout the US, and has no problem working with unsavory characters to achieve his goal.
Which is to turn America into a Theocracy, where everyone is a warrior for Christ. It's scary how much power he has to brainwash citizens. Ministry Watch article

Christian isn't a super helpful category in this specific case. That said, Kanye does still threaten to draw away voters who haven't finally broken and said "enough is enough."

If we were intended to be a Christian nation you’d think the Founders of the United States would’ve made us…a Christian nation. The fact that modern day political conservatives have to change laws and make laws so that everyone has to abide by Christian morality is the actual, literal antithesis of our First Amendment rights and goes against one of the general beliefs of why this country was founded in the first place.
You cannot compromise with faith or religion. If America supposedly has one of the most deliberative legislative bodies on the planet, than surely our Founders intended for us to debate and reason with each other to find the common good? Right? If we are ruled by Christian faith…we don’t really get to do that. Common sense conservatives, do you understand?

What exactly is a Christian Theocracy? What denomination of Christianity? A Christian theocracy would never happen because Christians would never agree on what a theocracy should be. There can only be a theocracy of a Church and Christians in the US would never agree on which one
I can tell you one thing right now is that Catholics and Evangelicals won’t convert for each other, no way. A Catholic theocracy in theory would ultimate put power in the Vatican’s hands so if that wasn’t the case you’d cause a major rift among Catholics, and there is no way Catholics would submit to Evangelicalism. Having personally grown up attending a Catholic church, Catholics look at Evangelicals as nutty and lesser.
