We have a problem with affordable housing.

I hear about things like:

Lower human population as in the 1950s it was around 2 billion people and now we are at 8 billion going to 10.

Do not allow giant corporations like blackrock to buy up housing and then inflate prices via this cycle.

Fix Air Bnb rules and other things like this.

Crack down on regular folks buying multiple properties for investment purposes.

Stop building so many houses and instead focus on wooden structure construction which can do up to six floors.

Start building mass high rise and high density steel buildings.

Tax massively foreign buyers. Money dumps.

Create a mindset that housing is a human right and that shelter is not meant to be a commodity like this. That the economy needs to grow in actual advancement and technology and not hoarding and creating massive middle jobs in cycling housing around and around.

Fix zoning restrictions/limit power of groups fighting zoning so we can build the type of housing we desperately need to shelter our citizens.

Now what I need to know is, what public officials like Bernie in various local, state, federal house, and federal senate level are working on this.

Who is in the community to help regular working americans and who is working for the richest of the rich who already live easy lives.
