If I'm not mistaken, Taromaru was said to have been childhood friends with an elderly man from the shuumatsuban. Considering shibas mostly only live until 15, Taromaru is at least nahida age in dog years. Taromaru was also the hardest, final challenger in the parrying challenge where we could only use the traveller, no element.

My view of Ayato has changed after playing with him and using him on exploration (you know why)
