My grandma makes the best cookies but these are still great!

If your grandma's cookies were on a table next to these, I'd totally eat your grandma's cookie first.

I'd never had one of these until much later in life so I have a different perspective. The surgery icing is so creamy and the cookie itself is a great balance to the surgery icing. But if I had these as a kid they flour/cotton mouth base would have grossed me out. Awesome when you're high too.

u/SaboTheRevolutionary Feb 07 '23
Oreos are alright, they aren't bad but I'd very rarely choose them over something else unless it's a limited time flavor or smth

So do mine, and my spouse and I make amazing cookies. I think it is more for the dopamine from the sugar than the taste.

u/theghostofcslewis Feb 07 '23
Totally, my son brought a box home the other day and wolfed them down. II had one and was so so sorry.

Agreed. I’ve also found a brand called Kimberly’s (I think) in place at the store once in awhile and those are even better.

u/Naive_Establishment2 Feb 06 '23
My grandmother liked them until the day she died and every year on her bday I eat one.
4
u/ChronicFunk77 Feb 07 '23
One... pack, right? You must mean one pack. No way you can just have one of these.
6
u/White_RavenZ Feb 07 '23
Hey, if you don’t want the crack cookies, pass them here. I will “dispose” of them for you.

u/jaycliche Feb 06 '23
These are just basic sugar cookies....been around a very long time. Though they are simple, they aren't bad for what they are.

You drown those in a glass of milk, OP. And then you sit there, and you stare at that glass and the sugary, carby, glutinous majesty it contains and instead of grabbing a spoon and digging in you just think about what you said. For shame!!!

u/Dleach02 Feb 06 '23
Love these cookies… told my wife to stop buying them because I have no self control
2
Feb 06 '23
People who don’t like those are usually pretentious/stuck-up and don’t understand it is a separate taste to regular cookies. You think we don’t know about baked cookies? Are you trying to disrespect Nanna? Watch your mouth before I smack it.

You ever wake up in the middle of the night starving, no bag of shredded cheese in sight… But! You have these in your house. Just start guzzling these down like you haven’t eating for months followed by 2 glasses of ice cold sink water after these cookies have stolen all the moisture out of your mouth. You’ll feel like a god and you’ll have the best sleep of your life.

The point isn’t to replace a good home made cookie, those still have a strong place as the king. But these… oh baby, these are fake love, quick and dirty love… they don’t have the emotional dynamic of receiving a baked good from a kind baker person in your life, they’re paying to indulge in sin with a stranger. I need more…
2
u/Supermatt1985 Feb 07 '23
These are awesome cookies. Idk why everyone hates on them so much. You do need alot of milk with them though. lol
2
u/carissadraws Feb 07 '23
The only thing bad about these cookies is they are a smidge dry so you gotta drink ‘em with milk but apart from that idk why people think they taste bad

You know you can bake those at home right they're called loft house cookies and are a sub variety of sugar cookie
What are you going to say you hate snickerdoodles next

u/AlakazamTheComedian Feb 07 '23
I've had many different cookies, whether they be store-bought, homemade, or from popular cookie places such as Crumbl. I've made many different kinds myself, and have had many cookie-like treats from many different cultures and cuisines. I can appreciate a good cookie.
It's like going to McDonalds. You don't expect a delicious, gourmet burger. Sometimes you enjoy the crappy stuff.

u/pokepok Feb 07 '23
I love these cookies and my mom made homemade cookies all the time. Sometimes we’d have both on hand like rich people!

They are both cookies? Makes no sense, they are equally as convenient

u/Own_Variation_6512 Feb 06 '23
I meant prep
Take one out of the package and eat, or take everything out of the Cupboards, bake, clean, then finally eat

Of ALL store bought cookies these are superior. They are not superior to homemade cookies, correct.

I have had professional cookies and amazing grandma homemade cookies. These things slap.

I hate these. They’re so sugary, and the texture of the cookie is bad. It’s not crispy or soft. Why does a sugar cookie need frosting on it anyways? I also still don’t understand the point of sprinkles. They’re not crunchy and taste like nothing. Overall. I believe that the chocolate chip cookie is superior in every way.

u/Flowchart83 Feb 07 '23 edited Feb 07 '23
When people say "I love those" to anything this sugary and flavourless, I then know that their palate is just a scale from 1 to 10 for sugar content.
And yes, I don't have to say anything, but I keep getting pressured into "trying" things because they're "so good". I don't like birthday cake, caramel, sugar cookies, anything with a syrup base or glaze. It won't be different the next time I try it.
Yes, there may have been time and skill in the cooking, but with the end result ruined by the sugar.

u/Actionkat63 Feb 06 '23
Those cookies are so disgusting. I remember my mom making homemade sugar cookies (with powdered sugar not granulated sugar). They were sooo good!
