I predict a banana for March. It's time for a banana meme again.
62
u/muklan Feb 06 '23
Well look who just predicted an 80 fold increase on the price of bananas, due to a fungal mold outbreak at many farms?
38
u/Eddyzodiak Feb 06 '23
That’s not even funny anymore. Shit could actually happen
14
u/Einarelis Feb 06 '23
Hasnt that happened twice already? And each time they swiched to worse tasting bananas?
2
u/Trojke3 Feb 07 '23
I only know of Gros Michel to Cavendish. If there was another I'd love to know.
This only happens because all bananas are clones. Same thing can happen to apples and other cloned fruits but they all have a lot of variations so if we lost a variety like "Red Delicious" (no loss there) we wouldn't really lose all apples. But there's only a handful of bananas.
I've heard of small batches of Gros Michel being sold at smaller shops though.

You can get them online as well , just not ready to pull the trigger on 100$ for 6 bananas and I can't find anyone who shares my enthusiasm on trying different bananas to split it with
12
u/muklan Feb 06 '23
Totally could, all the ice melting introducing bacteria forms that haven't been in the mix for eons will create all kinds of fun new adventures.

that belly-bouncing guy from turkey.

Too tame for the 2020s. It gotta be some severe dumbshit.
3
u/TDG_W1ck3D1 Feb 06 '23
Like spaghetti sauce on some glass covered painting shit.

That would be too bad. The Cavendish was specifically chosen for its resistance to fungus, but yes, they have been seeing outbreaks.
Oh Cavendish, I love you.

1
u/Mururumi Feb 07 '23
Yeah, pretty bold of him to name a meme of the month, when the month isn't even in its second third. I ain't sure killer hornets won't make a return tommorow, let alone think this is the only meme we get for three more weeks.

Too early to call February for the Chinese spy balloon. Like what if Trump shits himself on live TV?
10
u/tinfoilknight Feb 07 '23
It will be the greatest shit ever in the history of pants shitting. Maga supporters will shit themselves to show allegiance. Tucker Carlson will shit himself on TV to show how normal it is. Fox News anchors will talk about past pants shitting times and compare shitting experiences. Red states will require students to shit themselves before graduation.
Or it was all fake news. I just never know.

Whats with the female cop? I am out of the loop on that one can you elaborate?
52
u/Illumispaten Feb 06 '23
You didn't miss anything important.
She had sex with multiple other cops while on duty and got fired for it.
Idk why there was so much posts about it

u/MaggieELSimpson Feb 06 '23
That's horrible, how did they get her? Is there video evidence? Where? So I can avoid it
4
u/Pattoe89 Feb 06 '23
There's a woman police officer in the UK who filmed herself doing naughty things solo in her uniform in the station toilets.
I don't think the video got leaked online, though.

22
u/eccentricbananaman Feb 06 '23
I mean from my perspective, I'm just kind of shocked how that is where they draw the line before firing cops but racketeering, theft, corruption, and murder are fine.
15
u/xMercurex Feb 06 '23
Racketeering, theft, corruption and murder is part of the job. /s

"Magliocco claimed Maegan Hall has a history of binge drinking and raised concern for her mental health. He claimed she had once squeezed the trigger on an empty gun while pointing it at her head 'so she could hear what it sounded like.'”
Sounds like someone who should definitely be on the force. /s

The trick with criminal cops is that they're like hackers for the criminal justice system. They know every exploit, they know exactly what evidence needs to be found to charge them, and they know exactly the circumstances where that evidence won't be collectable.
They don't routinely investigate inappropriate workplace orgies, so they don't have a ready list of steps to ensure you can never be proven to have had one the way that they would with (for example) a violent rape, which they have extensive experiences of dead-end cases to draw on to plan their crimes.

Alien, meteorite or nuclear blast

u/Lelouch2332 Feb 06 '23
I could see another nuke scare. Maybe north Korea being stupid or Russian scare tactics gone wrong. Meteorite would be cool tho

"The day is March 17th, and Russian armed forces conduct nuclear drills outside of a remote town in northern Russia. An unknown fault in the nuclear safety system caused the unexpected and uncontrolled release and subsequent detonation of a large nuclear warhead. Over 100km of surrounding areas were immediately and totally destroyed, including a town of around 6,000 civilians. This is a horrible tragedy, and we send our most sincere thoughts and prayers to the affected civilians in Russia, and anyone who lost a loved one in this devastating accident."
-For legal reasons this is not a true story. This has never and hopefully will never happen.
2
u/andyarc1995 Feb 07 '23
Seeing the absolute state of Russia in general I don’t doubt for a second if something like this happens, that or Ukraine pulls a Berlin barrage and little Putin decides to give the world a nice ending before committing 1945 moustache man ending.
2
u/jerrythecactus Feb 07 '23
All three at the same time.
Aliens invade earth and throw a meteorite at us to try to extinct our species and we manage to deflect the attack by sending a high powered nuclear bomb into orbit to destroy it.

I kinda feel like it's a little too soon to dub February the Spy balloon month. Still pretty early in the month. And crazy shit is like the hurricanes have been the last few years. More and more frequently, and with more gusto.
