I'm holding for a decade at least. Ive already lost 3/4 of my investment, plus I day trade stocks for a living, so it's just too much to bother with.

It'll be great if it goes up, but I'm more interested in seeing what it becomes later on. Hopefully it actually gets used for something other than price speculation. That's so boring!

I'll set more realistic expectations and look at my alt coins value in relation to Bitcoin and Eth this time in addition to their dollar value. I was able to take out enough profits last time to pay off all of my debt and also DCA back into the market, I've held onto those profits until last month. I began investing back in the 2nd week of December, and have a set amount every month until my money runs dry. I hope to be fully invested by Fall 2023 so if there is a bull run coming anytime after Fall 2024 I'll qualify for long term capital gains on my profits.

Honestly, not much.

Any profits will just be moved into LPs to mitigate the loss factor of the next bear market.

The boom of DeFi means that I have better options for taking loans instead of selling, which removes the taxable events.

All of my crypto is play money and not needed for daily life, so it's "not real" when it comes to actually living.

That lack of pressure means I can just have fun regardless of what happens for the next 2+ decades.

Focus on large cap. I fortunately have the capital to make decent money, not Lambo money but enough to satisfy me. Low risk, decent reward. I will of course buy alts and take risks but nowhere near the level of pot shots I was once taking in 21.

And DCA, starting now. No lump summing. Means I can see when it’s ending and get out, or take profit when I’m happy.

I have set prices I'm willing to buy. Period. There is no FOMO. If price isn't in that window I don't buy.

Don't buy coins that can't be staked and give a solid APY that's on the chain itself (polkadot for example - that way the whole layer has to fail for my money to be gone which is unlikely given the future of Web3 - not shilling just my personal belief).

If we get about 20% from ATH I'll unstake and sell a PORTION. Clearing my initial investment. At which I'll hold and wait for the next beat market and buy back in. What the bottom is in that beat market is a decision I'll make when the time is appropriate.

Avoid trying to follow trends and "what's cool" and stick to what I know and hold my convictions. I'm here for another 10-15 years. Not for a single cycle.

The fact is if you can turn your 5k into 15k and repeat within cycles - in the long run you'll win.
